The new curriculum guidelines and the future of English language learning
Starting in the 2020 academic year, the new curriculum guidelines will be implemented in elementary schools, and English is one of the subjects that will see significant changes. Under the new curriculum guidelines, students will have about one English class per week from the 3rd and 4th grades, and about two classes per week from the 5th and 6th grades. In the 3rd and 4th grades, it will be treated as a "foreign language activity," but in the 5th and 6th grades, it will become a "subject" and grades will be assigned.
The emphasis on English in the new curriculum guidelines means that its importance will increase in situations such as entrance exams.
Globally, when it comes to English language tests, the TOEFL is one of the most widely used tests for non-native English speakers.
In fact, the number of elementary, middle, and high schools that use TOEFL scores as an evaluation criterion for entrance exams is increasing every year. Therefore, learning English in early childhood to build a foundation is crucial.

Among these, TOEFL is widely used globally, and TOEFL Primary, aimed at elementary and junior high school students, is very popular for assessing their English learning abilities from a young age.

Taking the TOEFL Primary from a young age is very important for becoming familiar with the TOEFL, which will be used for future overseas studies and as an evaluation tool for domestic entrance exams.
The TOEFL Primary, widely used globally, is a highly reliable English proficiency test. Use it effectively to improve your English skills.

TOEFL Primary Step 1 and Step 2 are tests within the TOEFL range that are suitable for people who have just started learning English. They are primarily aimed at elementary and junior high school students.
The test consists of two sections: reading and listening, and the test duration is 60 minutes. A notable feature is that the themes are related to the school life of elementary and junior high school students, making them relatively easy to answer.
The answers are multiple-choice with three options. Step 1 consists of 39 reading questions and 41 listening questions, for a total of 80 questions. Step 2 consists of 37 reading questions and 39 listening questions, for a total of 76 questions.

Both TOEFL Primary Step 1 and Step 2 are excellent starting points for learning English. The main difference between the two is the difficulty level. Both exams are approximately 60 minutes long, with about 30 minutes for reading and about 30 minutes for listening.

What is TOEFL? A globally recognized English proficiency test.
